Opening Event at Olivine Recreation Reserve
On Saturday 7th October, Mirvac hosted an event for the local community to celebrate the highly anticipated opening of Stage 1 of the Sports Precinct, now know as Olivine Recreation Reserve.
This family friendly event offered a range of exciting activities including DJ and roving entertainment, face painting and kids craft, Beat Box Burgers food truck, Netball and Cricket activations, mini Olympics and a dog treat bar.
Olivine Recreation Reserve was delivered in partnership with the City of Whittlesea, who will manage and operate the facility moving forward. As part of Stage 1, local residents can now utilise the $4.5 million Sports and Community Pavilion, as well as netball and futsal courts, cricket nets, dog park, barbecue areas and a playground. Mirvac is working closely with the City of Whittlesea to deliver Stage 2 of the Sporting Precinct which will include two ovals, anticipated to commence construction in the coming months.
